Pacific Northwest Transportation, Service, Inc., C-862 Respondent. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ) ) ) ) ) DOCKET TC-001092 ) ) COMPLAINT AND ORDER ) SUSPENDING TARIFF ) FILING ) ) ) ) ) On July 14, 2000, Pacific Northwest Transportation, Inc. filed with the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission revisions to its current tariff naming rates to become effective August 14, 2000. An LSN petition accompanied the filing asking for a August 1, 2000, early effective date. The Commission took no action on the LSN petition at its Open Public Meeting of July 31, 2000. The revisions consisted of increasing passenger fares approximately 20%. It appearing that the filing would increase rates and charges for service rendered by the respondent, it is the decision of the Commission to enter into further investigation and public hearing or hearings concerning such changes to determine the reasonableness and justness thereof to ensure the rights and interests of the public will not be injuriously affected. Further, it is the decision of the Commission to suspend the operation of filing TC-001092 pending such investigation and hearing or hearings and decision thereon as may be necessary. O R D E R IT IS ORDERED That filing TC-001092 is hereby suspended. IT IS ORDERED That a hearing or hearings, on the Commission's own motion, shall be held at such times and places as may be required. IT IS ORDERED That the rates and charges sought to be amended by filing TC-001092 shall not be changed by a subsequent tariff or filing, until this suspension proceeding has been disposed of, or, until the period of suspension and any extension thereof has expired, unless authorized by special permission of the Commission.
