BEFORE THE WASHINGTON UTILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION In the Matter of a Filing by SHUTTLE EXPRESS, INC., C-975 ) DOCKET TC-990604 ) ) SECOND SUPPLEMENTAL ) ORDER ENDING ) TEMPORARY FUEL ) SURCHARGE On April 23, 1999, the Commission approved a filing by Shuttle Express, Inc. (Shuttle), C-975, in Docket TC-990604. Provisions contained in the filing established rates for a fuel surcharge. An LSN application accompanied the filing (which was granted) requesting an effective date of April 24, 1999, and requesting a waiver of customer notification requirements. At the open public meeting of April 28, 1999, the Commission lowered the above fuel surcharge based on updated information that the price of fuel paid by Shuttle was less than originally believed. Those reductions were ordered in the First Supplemental Order to this docket and became effective on April 29, 1999. Information now obtained from the company indicates that fuel prices have declined even further and the company has requested via letter dated April 29, 1999, that the fuel surcharge be canceled entirely, effective immediately. The Commission finds that pursuant to ongoing declining fuel prices and a review of all other facts including the company's own request, it is in the public interest to immediately end Shuttle's temporary fuel surcharge of Docket TC-990604 contained in Supplement No. 1 to Tariff No. 6. O R D E R IT IS ORDERED That the Special Fuel Surcharge Supplement No. 1 to Shuttle Express, Inc's. Tariff No. 6, be, and hereby is, canceled, effective immediately. DATED and signed at Olympia, Washington this 12th day of May, 1999. WASHINGTON UTILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION CAROLE J. WASHBURN, Secretary
