DOCKET UG-981376 Page 1 BEFORE THE WASHINGTON UTILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION WASHINGTON UTILITIES AND ) TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION, ) ) Complainant, ) DOCKET UG-981376 ) vs. ) ) ORDER DISMISSING COMPLAINT AVISTA UTILITIES, ) AND ORDER SUSPENDING ) TARIFF REVISION AND ) GRANTING TARIFF REVISION Respondent. ) ) On October 29, 1998, Avista Utilities (formerly, The Washington Water Power Company) filed with the Commission, a revision to its currently effective Tariff WN U-27 designated as: Thirteenth Revision Sheet 155 Cancelling Twelfth Revision Sheet 155 The Commission, November 25, 1998, entered a Complaint and Order Suspending Tariff Revision, but allowed the rates to go into effect on a temporary basis, pending an investigation concerning the changes and the reasonableness and justness thereof. The investigation has been completed and all outstanding issues have been resolved. Accordingly, it is deemed that the Complaint and Order Suspending Tariff Revisions in this docket be dismissed and that the temporary rates are fair, just, and reasonable and should become permanent. FINDINGS 1. Avista Utilities is a natural gas company and as such is a public service company subject to the jurisdiction of the Commission. 2. The revision presently under suspension herein are not considered to be unreasonable. 3. It is not contrary to public interest that the Complaint and Order Suspending Tariff Revision in this docket be dismissed and that the temporary rates become permanent. O R D E R THE COMMISSION THEREFORE ORDERS That the Complaint and Order Suspending Tariff Revision in this docket, dated November 25, 1998, be and the same is hereby dismissed, and that the revisions filed herein October 29, 1998, be and the same shall become permanent.
