BEFORE THE WASHINGTON UTILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION ) In the Matter of the Requested Waiver of ) DOCKET NO. UT-000067 Statutory Notice in Connection with the ) Price List Revisions Filed by ) ORDER GRANTING LESS U.S. LONG DISTANCE, INC. ) THAN STATUTORY ) NOTICE ) On March 28, 2000, U.S. LONG DISTANCE, INC. (USLD) filed with the Commission revisions to its currently effective Alternate Operator Services Price List, designated as follows: Second Revised Page No. 21 First Revised Page No. 22 First Revised Page No. 23 First Revised Page No. 24 First Revised Page No. 25 First Revised Page No. 26 First Revised Page No. 27 First Revised Page No. 28 First Revised Page No. 29 The company requests the statutory 10-day notice be waived and that the revisions become effective March 31, 2000. The proposed price list would revise rates in USLD's Alternate Operator Services Price List to reflect rates and surcharges no higher than AT&T's current rates for similar calls in Washington. USLD has requested a waiver of the statutory 10-day notice period so that the revisions, which reduce these rates, can be implemented as soon as possible. Since the price list revisions filed herein are fair, just and reasonable, and waiver of statutory notice is not inconsistent with the public interest, it is deemed appropriate that the company be granted the waiver it is requesting with an effective date of March 31, 2000. FINDINGS After careful examination of the price list revisions filed herein by USLD on March 28, 2000, and giving consideration to all relevant matters and for good cause shown, the Commission finds that the price list revisions should become effective on March 31, 2000. O R D E R THE COMMISSION THEREFORE ORDERS That the requested waiver of statutory notice in connection with the price list revisions filed herein by U.S. Long Distance, Inc., on March 28, 2000, is hereby granted, and said price list revisions shall become effective on March 31, 2000. DATED at Olympia, Washington, and effective this day of March, 2000. WASHINGTON UTILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION CAROLE J. WASHBURN, Secretary
