  On July 8, 1997, Sound Water Company, Inc., (Sound Water) filed with the 
Commission a contract for the provision of domestic water service to Boardwalk 
Homes, Inc., Lost Creek subdivision.

  It appearing that the filing herein would increase rates for water service 
rendered by respondent and that the rights and interest of the public might be 
injuriously effected thereby, the Commission, on July 30, 1997, entered a 
Complaint and Order Suspending Contract.

  The Commission is now in receipt of a letter dated 
March 16, 1998, by which the new owner of Sound Water assets, Rainier View 
Water Company, Inc. (Rainier View), respondent, requests that the contract 
filed in this docket be withdrawn. Rainier View has determined that little 
activity has taken place with this project, the existing contract on file will 
be replaced by a separate company standard contract.

  From all indications, it appears to be in the public interest to grant the 
request and to concurrently dismiss the Complaint and Order Suspending 
Contract, and close the docket.

O R D E R

  THE COMMISSION THEREFORE ORDERS That the contract, filed in this docket, 
dated July 8, 1997, shall be and the same withdrawn, and that the Complaint and 
Order Suspending Contract in this docket dated July 30, 1997, shall be and the 
same is hereby dismissed, and the docket number referenced herein is closed.
