  On June 16, 1997, Cascade Natural Gas Corporation filed with the Commission 
under its Advice No. CNG/W97-06-01, revision to its currently effective Tariff 
WN U-3, designated as:

  Fourth Revision Sheet No. 6-A.

  The Commission, July 15, 1997, entered a Complaint and Order Suspending 
Tariff Revision pending an investigation concerning the changes and the 
reasonableness and justness thereof.  The Commission action was taken after the 
Department of Corrections argued that the tariff was inappropriately filed and 
therefore should be rejected.

  Cascade Natural Gas Corporation, the Department of Corrections, and the 
Commission Staff have entered a stipulation concerning this matter.  Such 
stipulation is attached to this order and incorporated into this order.

FINDINGS

  1. Cascade Natural Gas Corporation is a gas company and as such is a public 
service company subject to the jurisdiction of the Commission.

  2. The revision presently under suspension herein is not considered to be 
unreasonable. 

  3. It is not contrary to public interest that the Complaint and Order 
Suspending Tariff Revision in this docket be dismissed and that the revision to 
the respondent's Tariff WN U-3, become effective September 25, 1997.

O R D E R

  THE COMMISSION THEREFORE ORDERS That the Complaint and Order Suspending 
Tariff Revision in this docket, dated July 15, 1997, is hereby dismissed, and 
that the revision filed June 16, 1997,  shall become effective September 25, 
1997.
