NOTICE OF EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE 
WRITTEN SUPPLEMENTAL COMMENTS

  Standards for the Interface of Interconnecting Local
  Exchange Carriers Rulemaking;
  Docket No. UT-990261

TO ALL INTERESTED PERSONS:

On August 9, 1999, the Commission served a Notice of Opportunity to File 
Supplemental Comments in Docket No. UT-990261, the carrier-to-carrier service 
quality rulemaking.  The Commission invited interested persons to file comments 
no later than September 10, 1999.

The Commission has received several requests from interested persons for an 
extension of time to file supplemental comments.  The Commission’s rulemaking 
schedule in this proceeding allows for an extension of time at this point in 
the process. Good cause for an extension has been shown and the requests are 
granted.  Written supplemental comments must be filed no later than September 
24, 1999.

Interested persons are requested to comply with the Commission’s notice dated 
August 9,1999, in all other respects.  If you have questions related to the
