		NOTICE OF PREHEARING DISCOVERY CONFERENCE 
		(Monday, October 25, 1:30 p.m.)

  AT&T Communications of the Pacific Northwest, Inc. (“AT&T”) on October 15, 
1999 filed a motion against the respondent, USWC, to compel discovery, 
requesting sanctions and requesting that a discovery conference be convened.  

  The Commission invites the respondent to answer the motion.  In light of the 
nature of the subject and the need for a speedy resolution, and after 
consultation as to schedule, the Commission sets October 20, 1999 as the 
deadline for filing a response to the motion.  Copies must be sent to all 
parties to be received no later than the day filed with the Commission.

  Pursuant to WAC 480-09-460 and 480, the Commission schedules a prehearing 
discovery conference to examine the issues raised by the motion and the 
answer.  The matter will be heard as follows:

  NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN That the prehearing conference in this matter will be 
heard on Monday, October 25, 1999, beginning at 1:30 p.m., in Room 216, 
Chandler Plaza Building, 1300 S. Evergreen Park Drive SW, Olympia, WA.

  If you cannot attend, you may participate via the Commission’s teleconference 
bridge line.  The bridge line is limited to twelve callers, and will be 
reserved for the first twelve people requesting the service.  Please call Nancy
