Gamble Bay serves approximately 181 customers on Bainbridge Island and near Poulsbo. Rim Rock serves approximately 54 customers near Fall City in King County. The company is requesting the increase in general rates to the level charged by the Randles prior to the sale of Rim Rock water system to Gamble Bay Water, Inc. The proposed rates will generate approximately $1,771 in additional revenues per year. Staff has reviewed the books and records of Gamble Bay Water, Inc., for Rim Rock for the test period ending June 30, 1997. The proposed rates will generate approximately $1,771 in additional revenues per year. The company is aware that they will continue to operate Rim Rock water system at a loss. Staff is of the opinion that the proposed rates are acceptable for rate making purposes. FINDINGS 1. Gamble Bay Water, Inc. is a water company and as such is a public service company subject to the jurisdiction of the Commission 2. The tariff revision presently under suspension herein is not considered to be unreasonable. 3. It is not contrary to the public interest that the Complaint and Order Suspending Tariff Revision in this docket be dismissed and that the tariff revision become effective November 15, 1997. 4. This order shall in no way affect the authority of this Commission over rates, service, accounts, valuations, estimates or determination of costs, or any matters whatsoever that may come before it, nor shall anything herein be construed as an acquiescence in any estimate or determination of costs, or any valuation of property claimed or asserted. O R D E R THE COMMISSION THEREFORE ORDERS That the Complaint and Order Suspending Tariff Revision in this docket, dated October 8, 1997, be and the same is hereby dismissed, and that the tariff revision filed herein September 15, 1997, be and the same shall become effective November 15, 1997.
