  On August 15, 1997, North Sound Sanitation, Inc., G-59, filed with the 
Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission a new Tariff No.  naming 
increased rates to become effective October 1, 1997 and also October 1, 1998.

  At the Commission's open public meeting of September 27, 1997, the Commission 
suspended the filing for investigation and hearing to ensure the rights and 
interests of the public would not be injuriously affected.  It also allowed the 
scheduled October 1, 1997, rates to become effective on a temporary basis.

  The Commission staff has now completed its investigation into the rates and 
charges contained in Docket TG-971283, and concluded that the current temporary 
rate levels satisfy the company’s entire revenue requirement and result in 
rates which are fair, just, reasonable and sufficient.  By letter dated June 3, 
1998, the company requested to withdraw the proposed October 1, 1998, rates and 
asked that the existing temporary rates be made permanent.  All necessary 
revised tariff pages were also filed to accomplish this purpose.
 
  Pursuant to review of the filing and staff recommendations at the open 
meeting of June 15, 1998, the Commission finds that the Complaint and Order 
suspending Docket TG-971283 should be dismissed and the current temporary rates 
and the revisions received all be made permanent and allowed to become 
effective June 16, 1998.


O R D E R

  IT IS ORDERED That:

  1. The Complaint and Order issued September 27, 1997, suspending Docket 
TG-971283 is hereby dismissed.

  2.  Current temporary rates and the revisions filed by the company on June 5, 
1998, all be made permanent effective June 16, 1998.
