BACKGROUND

1 On April 30, 2001, the Commission received a petition from North American 
Van  Lines,   CC-58995, requesting the Commission grant an exemption to the 
provisions  WAC 480-15-480(4) that require motor carriers to file an annual 
report of financial  and operational activity by  May 1.  The petition requests 
North American Van Lines,  CC-58995, be granted an extension until August 1, 
2001, to file the company's 2000  annual report.  
 
2 WAC 480-15-035 provides that companies may petition the Commission 
requesting  exemptions to  rules contained in Chapter 480-15 WAC.

FINDINGS

3 The Commissioners have reviewed the petition and have been fully advised in 
the  matter.  They believe granting the petition is not inconsistent with 
public interest, and  direct the Secretary to issue the Order.

4 THE COMMISSION ORDERS:

5 North American Van Lines, CC-58995, is granted an exemption to the provisions 
of  WAC 480-70-071(1)(b) and is granted an extension until August 1, 2001, to 
file the  company's 2000 annual report of financial and operational activity.
