TG-000098 COMPLAINT AND ORDER SUSPENDING TARIFF FILING On January 26, 2000, Waste Management of Washington, Inc., filed with the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission revisions to its current tariff naming rates to become effective April 1, 2000. The revisions consisted of: Tariff Number 5, reflecting an increase in rates for commercial service just outside Seattle city limits. It appearing that the filing would increase rates and charges for service rendered by the respondent, it is the decision of the Commission to enter upon an investigation concerning such changes to determine the reasonableness and justness thereof to ensure the rights and interests of the public will not be injuriously affected. Further, it is the decision of the Commission to suspend the operation of Docket No. TG-000098 pending such investigation and decision thereon. O R D E R IT IS ORDERED That filing TG-000098 is hereby suspended. IT IS ORDERED That a hearing or hearings, on the Commission's own motion, be held at such times and places as may be required. IT IS ORDERED That the rates and charges sought to be amended by filing TG-000098 shall not be changed by a subsequent tariff or filing, until this suspension proceeding has been disposed of, or, until the period of suspension and any extension thereof has expired, unless authorized by special permission of the Commission. IT IS ORDERED That the respondent shall pay the expenses reasonably attributable and allocable to proceedings related to this order to the extent the requirement for such payment may be in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 81.20 RCW DATED at Olympia, Washington, and effective this 29th day of March, 2000.
