BEFORE THE WASHINGTON UTILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION In the Matter of the Requested Waiver of ) DOCKET UT-991746 Statutory Notice in Connection with the ) Tariff Revision Filed by Pend Oreille ) ORDER GRANTING Telephone Company ) LESS THAN STATUTORY . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ) NOTICE On November 9, 1999, Pend Oreille Telephone Company filed with the Commis- sion a revision to its currently effective tariff WN U-1, designated as 2nd Revised Sheet 36. The purpose of the filing is to implement a promotion to waive Service Order and Line Connection charges on second line orders for business and residential customers. The tariff sheet bears an inserted effective date of December 9, 1999. This date recognizes statutory notice as required. The company requests, however, that statutory notice be waived and that the revision become effective November 16, 1999. The reason for requesting LSN is to recognize the company’s recently-increased technical capability to offer -second lines, and to implement the promotion as quickly as possible. Since the tariff revision filed herein is fair, just and reasonable, and waiver of statutory notice is not inconsis-tent with the public interest, it is deemed appropriate that the company be granted the waiver it is requesting with an effective date of November 16, 1999. FINDINGS After careful examination of the tariff revision filed herein by Pend Oreille Telephone Company, November 9, 1999, and giving consideration to all relevant matters and for good cause shown, the Commission finds that the tariff revisions should become effective November 16, 1999. O R D E R THE COMMISSION THEREFORE ORDERS That the requested waiver of statutory notice in connection with the tariff revi-sion filed herein by Pend Oreille Telephone Company, November 9, 1999, is hereby granted, and said tariff revision shall become effective November 16, 1999.
