  On April 3, 1998, Cascade Natural Gas Corporation (Cascade), filed a contract 
with the Commission.  This contract is a Special Contract with Kalama Chemical 
to provide transportation service.  The contract would be effective upon 
Commission approval.

  The Commission suspended the filing on April 29, 1998, to provide staff and 
Cascade an opportunity to further investigate the rates, terms, and conditions 
of the contract. The investigation revealed that the contract is consistent 
with the requirements set forth under WAC 480-80-335.

FINDINGS

  The Commission finds that the special contract filed with Kalama Chemical by 
Cascade Natural Gas Corporation is in compliance with WAC 480-80-335.  The 
Commission finds that the suspension should be dismissed and the special 
contract should become effective June 1, 1998.

ORDER

  THE COMMISSION THEREFORE ORDERS That the special contract filed herein by 
Cascade Natural Gas Corporation shall become effective June 1, 1998, for a 
primary term of ten years from the date of regulatory approval, as specified in 
the contract.
