TG-971632 ) ) COMPLAINT AND ORDER ) SUSPENDING TARIFF ) FILING ) ) ) On November 12, 1997, Rubatino Refuse Removal, Inc., G-58, filed with the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission revisions to its current tariff . Those revisions contained rates to become effective January 1, 1998. The revisions consisted of: Tariff No. 6, 2nd revised page 13, 2nd revised page 21, 1st revised page 23 and 1st revised page 24. The filing, if approved would result in a general rate increase for residential customers and drop box service customers and a new 65 cents per yard rate for multi-family recycling. It appearing that the filing would increase rates and charges for service rendered by the respondent, it is the decision of the Commission to enter upon an investigation and public hearing or hearings concerning such changes to determine the reasonableness and justness thereof to ensure the rights and interests of the public will not be injuriously affected. Further, it is the decision of the Commission to suspend the operation of filing TG-971632 pending such investigation and hearing or hearings and decision thereon. O R D E R The Commission ORDERS: (1) Filing TG-971632 is hereby suspended. (2) A hearing or hearings, on the Commission's own motion, shall be held at such times and places as may be required. (3) The rates and charges sought to be amended by filing TG-971632 shall not be changed by a subsequent tariff or filing, until this suspension proceeding has been disposed of, or, until the period of suspension and any extension thereof has expired, unless authorized by special permission of the Commission.
