On July 22, 1997, GTE Card Services Incorporated d/b/a GTE Long Distance Washington State filed with the Commission, revisions to its Tariff WN U-1 . The purpose of this filing is to make revisions to certain rates and services offered by the company and adds a new service entitled Call Me Toll Free Service. The tariff sheets bear an inserted effective date of August 21, 1997. This date recognizes statutory notice as required under RCW 80.36.110. The company requests, however, that statutory notice be waived and that the revisions become effective July 30, 1997. The reason for requesting LSN is to permit the requested changes to become effective in concert with the company's nationwide implementation schedule. Since the tariff revisions filed herein are fair, just and reasonable, and waiver of statutory notice is not inconsistent with the public interest, it is deemed appropriate that the company be granted the waiver it is requesting with an effective date of August 1, 1997. FINDINGS After careful examination of the tariff revisions filed herein by GTE Card Services d/b/a GTE Long Dstance Washington State, July 22, 1997, and giving consideration to all relevant matters and for good cause shown, the Commission finds that the tariff revisions should become effective August 1, 1997.
