Agenda Date: August 13, 1997 Item Number: Docket: A-970591 Company Names: Administrative - General Repeal of the Commission's rules in Chapters 480-35 (Limousines), 480-69 (track Scales), and 480-150 (Economic Stabilization) of the Washington Administrative Code Staff: Bob Wallis, Review Judge Recommendation: File a preproposal statement of inquiry in Docket A-970591 to initiate repeal of the Commission’s rules in Chapters 480-35 (Limousines), 480-69 (Track Scales), and 480-150 (Economic Stabilization) of the Washington Administrative Code. Discussion: Commission Staff has reviewed the Commission’s existing administrative code provisions in preparation of the Plan for review under Executive Order 97-02. Staff believes there are three chapters of the Washington Administrative Code which are unneeded. The chapters are Chapters 480-35 (Limousines), 480-69 (Track Scales), and 480-150 (Economic Stabilization). The functions addressed in chapters 480-35 (Limousines) and 480-69 (Track Scales) have been transferred to other agencies, and the subject of chapter 480-150 (Economic Stabilization) involves a Federal program that is no longer in effect. It therefore appears appropriate to take steps to repeal these chapters.
