BEFORE THE WASHINGTON UTILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION In the Matter of the Requested ) Less than Statutory Notice in ) DOCKET UT-010274 Connection with the Tariff ) Revision Filed by ) ORDER GRANTING LESS Qwest Corporation ) THAN STATUTORY NOTICE ) ) On February 28, 2001, Qwest Corporation (Qwest), filed with the Commission under its Advice No. 3208T, a revision to its currently effective Tariff WN U-40, designated as: Section 10 1st Revised Sheet 9 The tariff sheet bears an inserted effective date of March 30, 2001. This date recognizes statutory notice as required. The Company requests, however, that statutory notice be waived and that the revision become effective March 14, 2001. The purposes of this filing are to eliminate the monthly rate for initial blocking of access to information delivery services and increase the rate for subsequent installation of blocking of access to information delivery services. The reason for requesting less than statutory notice is to correct Qwest’s tariff to comply with WAC 480-120-089(4). Since the tariff revision filed herein is fair, just and reasonable, and waiver of statutory notice is not inconsistent with the public interest, it is deemed appropriate that the Company be granted a waiver with an effective date of March 15, 2001. This matter was brought before the Commission at its March 14, 2001, regularly scheduled open meeting. The Commissioners, having been fully advised in the matter, and having determined the following order to be consistent with RCW 80.08.040 directed the Secretary to enter the following order and related provisions. FINDINGS After careful examination of the tariff revision filed herein by Qwest Corporation, on February 28, 2001, and giving consideration to all relevant matters and for good cause shown, the Commission finds that the tariff revision should become effective March 15, 2001. O R D E R THE COMMISSION THEREFORE ORDERS That less than statutory notice in connection with the tariff revision filed herein by Qwest Corporation, on February 28, 2001, is hereby granted, and said tariff revision shall become effective March 15, 2001. DATED at Olympia, Washington, and effective this 14th day of March, 2001. WASHINGTON UTILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION CAROLE J. WASHBURN Executive Secretary
