On December 6, 2000, Puget Sound Energy, Inc., (PSE) filed with the Commission under its Advice No. 2000-22 revisions to its currently effective Tariff WN U-2 TARIFF, designated as 118th Revision Sheet No. 101 and 2nd Revision Sheet No.101-B. 2. The tariff sheets bear an inserted effective date of January 6, 2001. This date recognizes statutory notice as required. The Company requests, however, that statutory notice be waived and that the revisions become effective December 14, 2000. 3. The proposed revisions implement decreases in the municipal taxes for: a) the City of Lake Forest Park to 4% from 6%. Ordinance No. 843 passed by the City Council of Lake Forest Park institutes this decrease effective November, 25, 2000.. b) the City of Lakewood to 5% from 6%. Ordinance No. 232 passed by the City of Lakewood institutes this decrease effective December 11, 2000. 4. PSE wishes to implement the decreases as soon as possible per the effective dates of the ordinances. 5. Since the tariff revision filed herein is fair, just and reasonable, and waiver of statutory notice is not inconsistent with the public interest, it is deemed appropriate that the Company be granted the waiver it is requesting with an effective date of December 14, 2000. FINDINGS 6. After careful examination of the tariff revision filed herein by Puget Sound Energy, December 6, 2000, and giving consideration to all relevant matters and for good cause shown, the Commission finds that the tariff revisions should become effective December 14, 2000. This matter was brought before the Commission at its regularly scheduled open meeting on December 13, 2000. The Commissioners, having been fully advised in the matter, and having determined the following order to be consistent with the public interest, direct the Secretary to enter the following order and related provisions. O R D E R 7. THE COMMISSION THEREFORE ORDERS That the requested waiver of statutory notice in connection with the tariff revisions filed herein by Puget Sound Energy, December 6, 2000, is hereby granted, and said tariff revision shall become effective December 14, 2000. 8.
