BEFORE THE WASHINGTON UTILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION In the Matter of the Requested ) Waiver of Statutory Notice in ) DOCKET UW-001858 Connection with the Tariff Revisions ) Filed by Pattison Water Company, Inc. ) ORDER GRANTING LESS ) THAN STATUTORY NOTICE ) AND APPROVING TARIFF REVISIONS . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ) BACKGROUND On November 30, 2000, Pattison Water Company, Inc., (Pattison) filed tariff revisions, in Docket UW-001858. The tariff revisions filed with the Commission are designated as: Sixth Revision Sheet No. 2 Canceling Fifth Revision Sheet No. 2 and Original Sheet No. 25. These tariff revisions will add Summer Shores water customers to the currently effective tariff of the Company. Summer Shores water system was purchased in October of 1995 from Summer Shores Water Association. At that time the water did not meet all state requirements. Pattison was able to interconnect and provide water meeting state requirements. The customer’s rate as of October 1995 was adopted by Pattison and has not changed since that time. The tariff revisions bear an effective date of January 1, 2001. This date recognizes statutory notice as required. The Company requests, however, that statutory notice be waived and that the tariff revisions become effective December 14, 2000. Pattison is requesting LSN treatment of these tariff revisions to comply with Commission rules and to allow the Company a proper tariff for future filings. Since the tariff revisions filed herein do not change rates to customers, and waiver of statutory notice is not inconsistent with the public interest, it is deemed appropriate that the Company be granted the waiver it is requesting with an effective date of December 14, 2000. This matter was brought before the Commission at its regularly scheduled open meeting on December 13, 2000. The Commissioners, having been fully advised in the matter, and having determined the following order to be consistent with the public interest, directed the Secretary to enter the following order and related provisions. O R D E R THE COMMISSION ORDERS: 1. That the requested waiver of statutory notice in connection with the tariff revisions filed herein by Pattison Water Company, Inc., November 30, 2000, is hereby granted, and said tariff revisions shall become effective December 14, 2000. 2. This order shall in no way affect the authority of this Commission over rates, service, or accounts, evaluations, estimates, or determination of cost or any matters whatsoever that may come before it, nor shall anything herein be construed as an acquiescence in any estimate or determination of cost or any valuation of property claimed or asserted. DATED at Olympia, Washington, and effective this 13th day of December, 2000. WASHINGTON UTILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION CAROLE J. WASHBURN Secretary
