  On February 2, 1999, Hood Canal Telephone Co., Inc., filed with the 
Commission, revisions to its Tariff WN U-1.  The purpose of this filing is to 
revise the tariff of Hood Canal Telephone Co., Inc., to incorporate a new 
promotion that will waive the standard installation fee of $40.00 for a second 
telephone line.
 
  The tariff sheet bears an inserted effective date of March 4, 1999.  This 
date recognizes statutory notice as required.  The company requests, however, 
that statutory notice be waived and that the revisions become effective March 
1, 1999.
 
  The reason for requesting LSN is to incorporate the free installation for a 
second telephone line for the month of March.
  
  Since the tariff revisions filed herein appear to be fair, just and 
reasonable, and waiver of statutory notice is not inconsistent with the public 
interest, it is deemed appropriate that the company be granted the waiver it is 
requesting with an effective date of 
March 1, 1999.

FINDINGS

  After careful examination of the tariff revisions filed herein by Hood Canal 
Telephone Co., Inc., on February 2, 1999, and giving consideration to all 
relevant matters and for good cause shown, the Commission finds that the tariff 
revisions should become effective 
March 1, 1999.

O R D E R

  THE COMMISSION THEREFORE ORDERS That the requested waiver of statutory notice 
in connection with the tariff revisions filed herein by Hood Canal Telephone 
Co., Inc., on February 2, 1999, is hereby granted, and said tariff revisions 
shall become effective March 1, 1999.
