  On February 1, 1999, Cascade Natural Gas Corporation filed with the 
Commission under its Advice No. CNG/W99-02-01 revisions to its currently 
effective Tariff WN U-3, designated as First Revision Sheet No. 12-D Canceling 
Original Sheet No. 12-D, and Original Sheet No. 12-E.

  The tariff sheets bear an inserted effective date of March 4, 1999.  This 
date recognizes statutory notice as required.  The company requests, however, 
that statutory notice be waived and that the revisions become effective 
February 11, 1999.

  These changes are to implement charges for installing Excess Flow Valves 
(EFV) on new or modified residential service lines pursuant to Section 192.383 
in Title 49 CFR, Part 192-Transportation of Natural and Other Gas by Pipeline: 
Minimum Safety Standards.

  Since the new federal standard became effective February 3, 1999, Cascade 
Natural Gas Corporation is requesting a waiver of statutory notice with rates 
to become effective February 11, 1999.

  Since the tariff revisions filed herein are fair, just and reasonable, and 
waiver of statutory notice is not inconsistent with the public interest, it is 
deemed appropriate that the company be granted the waiver it is requesting with 
an effective date of February 11, 1999.

FINDINGS

  After careful examination of the tariff revisions filed herein by Cascade 
Natural Gas Corporation, February 1, 1999, and giving consideration to all 
relevant matters and for good cause shown, the Commission finds that the tariff 
revisions should become effective February 11, 1999.





O R D E R

  THE COMMISSION THEREFORE ORDERS That the requested waiver of statutory notice 
in connection with the tariff revisions filed herein by Cascade Natural Gas 
Corporation, February 1, 1999, is hereby granted, and said tariff revisions 
shall become effective February 11, 1999.

  DATED at Olympia, Washington, and effective this 10th day of February, 1999.
