  On June 30, 1998, Cascade Natural Gas Corporation (Cascade), filed a Special 
Contract with the Commission.  This contract, with Pacific Northwest Sugar Co., 
provides for gas transportation service.  The term of the contract is for two 
years, and it will be effective upon Commission approval.

FINDINGS

  The Commission finds that the special contract filed with Pacific Northwest 
Sugar Co. by Cascade Natural Gas Corporation is in compliance with WAC 
480-80-335.  

  The Commission finds that the expected use of the plant is two years; hence 
all costs attributable to this contract, except for the inventory value of the 
meter and regulator, must be amortized over two years. 

  The Commission finds that the special contract should become effective upon 
its approval.


ORDER

  THE COMMISSION THEREFORE ORDERS That:

  1.  The special contract filed herein by Cascade Natural Gas Corporation 
shall become effective for a primary term of two years from the date of 
regulatory approval, as specified in the contract.

  2.  All costs attributable to this contract, with the exception of the meter 
and the regulator, will be amortized over two years.
