NOTICE On March 18, 1997, Cowiche Telephone Company filed with the Commission revisions to its currently effective Tariff WN U-1, designated as: First Revision of Sheet No. 60 Second Revision of Sheet No. 101 Second Revision of Sheet No. 107 Second Revision of Sheet No. 108 Second Revision of Sheet No. 109 Second Revision of Sheet No. 110 The tariff sheets bear an inserted effective date of April 18, 1997. This date recognizes statutory notice as required. The company requests, however, that statutory notice be waived and that the revisions become effective April 15, 1997. The purpose of the filing is to comply with require- ments of the Federal Communications Commis-sion (FCC), as set forth in its Report and Order, adopted and released September 20, 1996, and Order on Reconsideration, adopted and released November 8, 1996, in FCC Docket Nos. 96-128 and 91-35. The reason for requesting Less than Statutory Notice is in order to meet the required timeline prescribed by the FCC. Since the tariff revisions filed herein are fair, just and reasonable, and waiver of statutory notice is not inconsis- tent with the public interest, it is deemed appropriate that the company be granted the waiver it is requesting with an effective date of April 15, 1997. FINDINGS After careful examination of the tariff revisions filed herein by Cowiche Telephone Company on March 18, 1997, and giving consideration to all relevant matters and for good cause shown, the Commission finds that the tariff revisions should become effective April 15, 1997. O R D E R THE COMMISSION THEREFORE ORDERS That the requested waiver of statutory notice in connection with the tariff revi- sions filed herein by Cowiche Telephone Company on March 18, 1997, is hereby granted, and said tariff revisions shall become effective April 15, 1997. DATED at Olympia, Washington, and effective this 9th day of April, 1997. WASHINGTON UTILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION STEVE McLELLAN, Secretary
