On September 8, 1995, Telephone Utilities of Washington, Inc., d/b/a PTI Communications (PTI) filed with the Commission under its Advice No. 95-13 revisions to its currently effective Tariff WN U-1 and Tariff WN U-5, designated as follows: TARIFF WN U-1 Second Revised Sheet No. M 4 TARIFF WN U-5 Original Sheet No. M 2 Original Sheet No. M 54 Original Sheet No. M 3 Original Sheet No. M 55 Original Sheet No. M 10 Original Sheet No. M 60 Original Sheet No. M 15 Original Sheet No. M 63 Original Sheet No. M 23 Original Sheet No. M 70 Original Sheet No. M 26 Original Sheet No. M 73 Original Sheet No. M 31 Original Sheet No. M 59.1 Original Sheet No. M 34 Original Sheet No. M 80 Original Sheet No. M 38 Original Sheet No. M 82 Original Sheet No. M 40 Original Sheet No. M 84 Original Sheet No. M 43 Original Sheet No. M 88 Original Sheet No. M 44 Original Sheet No. M 93 Original Sheet No. M 46 Original Sheet No. M 94 Original Sheet No. M 51 Original Sheet No. M 96 The tariff sheets bear an inserted effective date of October 9, 1995. This date recognizes statutory notice as required. The company requests, however, that statutory notice be waived and that the revision become effective September 30, 1995. The purpose of this filing is to allow PTI to adopt the U S WEST Exchange Maps for the acquired exchanges pursuant to authority granted in Docket UT-940700. Additionally PTI is reflecting the necessary changes for the elimination of Foreign Exchange service in the Paradise Estate area as agreed to in the Settlement. The reason for requesting LSN is to allow PTI to begin operating the acquired exchanges on the agreed upon closing date. Since the tariff revision filed herein is fair, just and reasonable, and waiver of statutory notice is not inconsistent with the public interest, it is deemed appropriate that the company be granted the waiver it is requesting with an effective date of September 30, 1995. FINDINGS After careful examination of the tariff revision filed herein by Telephone Utilities of Washington, Inc., d/b/a PTI Communications, on September 8, 1995, and giving consideration to all relevant matters and for good cause shown, the Commission finds that the tariff revision should become effective September 30, 1995. O R D E R THE COMMISSION THEREFORE ORDERS That the requested waiver of statutory notice in connection with the tariff revisions filed herein by Telephone Utilities of Washington, Inc., d/b/a PTI Communications, on September 8, 1995, is hereby granted, and said tariff revisions shall become effective September 30, 1995. DATED at Olympia, Washington, and effective this 27th day of September, 1995. WASHINGTON UTILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION Steve McLellan, Secretary
