NOTICE OF PREHEARING CONFERENCE
(July 24, 2000, at 1:30 p.m.)


Re:  In re the Matter of the Petition of Mr. and Mrs. W. Neil Thompson
 For a Boundary Change and Designation of a Telecommunications Common Carrier;
 Docket No. UT-991878


TO ALL PARTIES OF RECORD:

On June 8, 2000, Commission Staff notified the Commission that all parties 
jointly request that the June 19, 2000, hearing date be postponed to enable the 
parties to finalize a settlement agreement to resolve all of the issues raised 
in the Petition.  The Commission finds good cause to grant the request.  All 
other requirements in preparation for hearing are held in abeyance until 
further notice.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT a prehearing conference in this matter will be 
heard on Monday, July 24, 2000, beginning at 1:30 p.m., in the Commission’s 
Conference Room 108, Chandler Plaza Building, 1300 S. Evergreen Park Drive SW, 
Olympia, Washington.  The purpose of the prehearing conference is to review the 
status of settlement negotiations and reschedule the prefiling of evidence and 
the hearing, if necessary.  Parties may attend via teleconference.  Any party 
wishing to participate via teleconference should call the Commission’s 
conference bridge number, 360-664-3846, at the time set for hearing.  A court 
reporter will not be present unless requested by a party in advance of the 
conference.
