NOTICE OF EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE BRIEFS

(October 25, 1999, and November 8, 1999)


 RE: WUTC v. U S WEST Communications, Inc.
  Docket No. UT-980948

TO ALL PARTIES:

Public Counsel, AARP, TRACER, and Commission Staff request an extension of time 
until October 25, 1999, to file responsive briefs that are currently due 
October 18, 1999.  Public Counsel represents that U S WEST agrees to the 
request, and all parties agree that U S WEST would then be allowed a 
corresponding extension until November 8, 1999, to file its reply brief that is 
currently due November 1, 1999.

The Commission finds that good cause has been established to grant the request 
for extension of time, and responsive briefs must be filed on or before October 
25, 1999.  U S WEST’s reply brief must be filed on or before November 8, 1999.
